This school year we will be offering Educator Exchange Day on November 7, 2016 and March 13, 2017 from 1:30 – 4:30 pm. The format for these days will include an introduction of the two programs, short presentations by teachers of work in the classroom, observation time in the classrooms of both schools, and then a question and answer reflection time at the end. The Infant Toddler Program works with children ages 8 weeks to 2 years and the Kindergarten has children ages 2 – 5K. This is a time when children will not be present, so the focus will be to examine the environment, to see images and presentations of the children in their classroom, to view documentation, and to talk with teachers about their work. This day is open to educators and college students who may be interested in seeing our programs. In an effort to compensate for the costs of providing this experience, we are charging a fee of $50 per participant or $45 per participant for groups of five or more. If these fees are a hardship for university students, we will be happy to work with you on a reduced fee. If you know of others who would be interested in this opportunity, please feel free to share this information, or pass their contact information to us. If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Krista Schneider at: firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your school, a contact person, contact information and the names of those attending. Please submit payment to: FBCK, 847 Cleveland St. Greenville, SC 29601
Please refer to your handbook for the inclement weather policy. When Greenville County schools start late because of the cold temperatures for bus riders, but have their buildings open at normal time, we will start on time.
